Cloud

Optional cloud uploads and a built-in history browser so you never lose a capture. Your data, your choice.

Cloud Uploads

Snapzy can upload screenshots and recordings to the cloud so you can share them with a link. Uploads are always triggered manually — there is no auto-upload.

  • Manual upload — press ⌘U in the annotation editor, or use the Quick Access card actions for screenshots, videos, and GIFs.
  • Bring-your-own-storage — connect your own AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2 bucket. No third-party servers are involved.
  • Upload history — press ⌘⇧L to open the upload history panel.

Bring Your Own Storage

Snapzy does not host your files. You provide the bucket, and Snapzy uploads directly to it.

  • AWS S3 — use any standard S3-compatible endpoint and bucket.
  • Cloudflare R2 — works out of the box with R2 API tokens.
  • Custom domain — configure a custom domain so shared links use your own URL.
  • Auto-expiration — set lifecycle rules from 1 to 90 days, or keep uploads permanent.

Credential Security

Your cloud credentials are stored exclusively in the macOS Keychain. Snapzy never writes them to plain files or syncs them to iCloud.

  • Optional password — add an extra password inside Snapzy for additional protection. It is SHA-256 hashed and never stored in plaintext.
  • Encrypted export / import — transfer credentials to another Mac via a manual encrypted archive protected by a passphrase you choose.
