After Capture
Choose what happens after every screenshot and recording. Save, copy, open the editor, or show the Quick Access panel.
Per-Mode Action Matrix
Snapzy lets you set different post-capture actions for each capture mode. Open Snapzy → Preferences → After Capture to configure:
- Save — write the file to your chosen export folder.
- Quick Access — show the floating panel for quick actions.
- Clipboard — copy the file or image to the clipboard.
- Annotate — auto-open the capture in the annotation editor.
Each mode (fullscreen, area, scrolling, recording, GIF) can have its own combination of these actions.
Quick Access Panel
The Quick Access panel is a floating card that appears after every capture. It gives you instant actions without opening the full app window:
- Copy — copy the capture to your clipboard.
- Edit — open in the annotation editor or video editor.
- Drag-to-app — drag the capture directly into another app.
- Open — reveal the file in Finder or open with the default app.
- Delete — remove the temp file if you do not need it.
- Cloud Upload — manually upload to your configured S3 or R2 bucket.
Tip — Quick Access countdowns pause while a card is converting to GIF or uploading to cloud, then resume after the work finishes.
Remove Background Auto-Crop
When you use the object cutout capture, Snapzy can automatically crop the transparent canvas to the subject bounds. This is controlled by a global toggle in Preferences.
- Enabled by default for cleaner exports.
- Disable it if you want to keep the full canvas with surrounding transparency.
- The crop tool in the annotation editor also supports crop-aware auto-crop for remove-background results.
